The NuTek International Inc. produces and sells commercial Ozone Laundry System. An Ozone Laundry System is a stand-alone system similar to a traditional laundry system, however it uses ozone (O3) in place of heat and harmful chemicals to clean laundry. The system is ideal for any type of establishments that process large volumes of laundry such as hotels, motels, amusement parks, spa, gyms, medical facilities and many more.
How does it work?
Ozone reverts back to Oxygen by forming bonds with carbon forms (bacteria, virus etc) present in the wash water and thus acts as a catalyst for the chemicals in cold water rather than using hot water at 140-160 degrees to act as that catalyst. This method has 3,000 times greater killing efficacy of bateria and virus than standard laundry procedures. Every single fill of the machine kills as opposed to solely the “bleach” step in traditional washing.
Ozone is oxygen (O2) with an extra atom of oxygen attached, thus forming O3. Ozone is formed naturally during a lightning storm. The creation of ozone is nature’s way of purifying the atmosphere, and is what gives clothesline dried linen that ‘‘fresh air’’ smell. Continue reading
