Save Costs On Storing And Transportation – Get Second Hand Pallets
If your business activities required storing and transporting a lot of products, or, if you are planning to move toshift your house then you should think about getting some second hand pallets. Pallets are containers which can store different objects effectively so that you can easily move your goods. There are different types of pallets such as wooden pallets, metal, aluminum and steel pallets. You can save your overall costs of products by getting second hand pallets. There are many companies and individuals who do not have recurring needs for pallets. These used pallets can be acquired by different companies and provided to customers.
Plastic Pallets: Due to their nature, they fulfill the requirements for export. Because they are easy to clean, dust-free and weather-resistant, they are often used in the hygiene and food sector and in microelectronics. Plastic pallets are also often used in conjunction with RFID technology because the transponders can be accommodated very well in the foot of the pallet.
Corrugated Cardboard Pallets: Disposable pallets made of corrugated cardboard are also suitable for export due to the material used. Compared to wood or plastic they are cheaper. In addition, they can easily be used as a pallet display. Corrugated cardboard pallets can be loaded with over 800 kg.
Reusable Pallets: Pallets designed for multiple usesare more stable than disposable pallets and are always manufactured to a well-defined standard and are always retractable from all four sides by forklift.
Europool Pallets: One of the best-known standardized pallets is the so-called Europool pallet. The chemical pallets are also used as second hand pallets in large numbers.
Life Cycle Assessment:
Ecologically, reusable packaging or second hand pallets is a better alternative to disposable systems. Since each disposable pallet is often an individual pallet in size and design, it cannot be used in automated processes. Also, the reusable pallets are not subject to waste legislation, as they can be fed directly to the re-use. For the production and processing of wooden pallets, less energy is needed than for the plastic pallet. The energy balance of a wooden pallet is much cheaper over the entire life cycle. The total energy consumption (including recycling) in the plastic pallet is 4.4 times higher than in the wooden pallet. Studies from France and Sweden confirm the extremely favorable energy and environmental balance of wooden pallets. Water consumption and possibly water pollution occur exclusively in the production of the plasticpalletsince no water is needed for the wooden pallet. Wood can also be recycled much more easily.
All reusable pallets are typically used in systems that can be divided into three types of action:
- Pallet Exchange: Pallet exchange originated in the 1960s. Its origin lies in the factory traffic, where the miller supplied the bakery every day and took back the empties. The exchange must be regulated individuallysince there are no specific legal bases. There is also a VAT liability in some cases. The most common form is the train-to-train exchange.
- Pallet Purchase:Since the physical repatriation cannot be time-consuming and costly, not in exchange for Euro pallets, an alternative is to offset the pallet debts at the current market price. When reselling the pallets, the pallet is no longer considered a means of transportbut invoiced as a commodity and with the goods.
- Rental Pooling:In the case of rental pooling, the pallets are rented and picked up at the exemption location by the respective pooling partner. The user pays the respective pallet circulation (Trip).
It can be concluded that second hand pallets can be perfect for solving your stacking and transportation requirements. These can also save you a lot of money and have a minimalenvironmental impact.
